Bereavement
A hospice bereavement counselor for many years, Chris understands there is a real need to help individuals and families work through their personal grief. Oftentimes a person can feel isolated and alone when their loved one dies. They may also feel that no one understands their unique situation or even cares about their needs or concerns.
Our bereavement program provides a safe, supportive atmosphere in which the grieving process can take place, as individuals and family members can discover the joy of living as they continue to mourn their loss.
The bereavement group meets for 8 group sessions and a workbook is included.
Toxic Faith
Growing up as a Christian in a legalistic faith tradition, Chris has personally experienced the dysfunctional effects produced by a toxic belief system. As a Christian pastor and counselor, he has witnessed the pain and anguish that a toxic faith can produce in the lives of believers who are trying to live out an authentic Christianity. Chris has counseled many Christians and leaders who suffer from the guilt and self-condemnation reinforced by their own denomination. This group meets for 8 sessions and workbook is included. The format is based upon the book Toxic Faith by Stephen Arteburn and Jack Felton.
Spiritual Pathways
This program is designed to help individuals discover their own meaning and purpose in life. Our program serves to assist individuals with loss of faith issues, spiritual injury, and life transition issues. It focuses on the reduction of guilt and shame produced by past regrets, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
